Get Something For Nothing

When I was a teenager I had a book of free stuff that you could send away for in the mail. I got all sorts of wonderful, useful, and useless stuff. There was a bit of a thrill-expecting things in the mail, not knowing when they would come or exactly what they would look like. This early adventure started me on a lifelong hunt for free and cheap goods. Imagine my delight when I found websites chock full of products I could get for free. This time I don't even need a stamp; just a click and free samples are on their way to me.

It's hard to keep up with all the bargains on the freebie websites. Here are some of the free product samples available to anyone who wants them: magazines, coupons, games, music, clip art, screensavers, solitaire card games, cosmetics, toys, clothes, books, medicine, and -believe it or not-money! The list goes on and on.

Coupons are among the best and most reliable free offers you can find. They are really free money if they are for a product you can use. Just a quick look on a freebie website brings up coupons for iced tea, detergent, body lotion, soap, contact lens solution, water, dog food, beverages, food, light bulbs, and electronics. What an assortment of great stuff!

Contests and sweepstakes give you chances to win a few bucks or lots of money. Opinion surveys are fun to do; they pay couple of dollars plus the chance to win more. For example, taking a short survey enters you into a contest for a big screen TV or a Lexus. Some surveys don't pay anything, but claim to give your valuable information, like whether you will ever be a millionaire or if your house is haunted. Or, maybe you would like to take a free love test or intelligence test.

There's a lot of free educational material out there for the asking. Any school in New York can get a fire safety video at no cost. You can also find worthwhile health information from reputable sources.

Companies that can't afford much advertising or want to test the Internet market can turn to websites that offer free promotions, thereby being able to give more consumers free samples to test.

Some of the offers are too good to be true, and they might have some hitches to them. You do have to use your common sense and be a little careful about who you give your name and address to. Just remember, if it says "free" there is no reason for you to give your credit card information, no matter what the offer says.
